    Description

1935 NCAA Track And Field Championship Program. The original and authentic program, not modified. In very good condition. Notably there is a light crease down the middle. There is also a bit of where along the spine, however the program is intact. The pages are unmarked. There is a small amount of residual tape long two corners of the back cover.
This is the program for the 1935 NCAA track and field Championship played at Edwards track Stadium at the University of California Berkeley from June 21st to 22nd 1935. It was one month prior to the Championships that Jesse Owens broke 3 world records and tied to 4th in Ann Arbor Michigan.
In the 1935 NCAA Championship, Ohio State's Jesse Owens won championships in four individual events—the 100-yard sprint, the 220-yard sprint, the 220-yard low hurdles, and the broad jump (now called the long jump). Owens accounted for 40 of Ohio State's 40+1⁄5 points in the team scoring, with pole vaulter John Wonsowicz contributing the remaining one-fifth of a point..
As you can see from the photo, the program does not even have the updated stats from the world records that Jesse Owens had broken 1 month earlier in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
