    1945 Washington program -
The WWII travel restrictions were still in effect in the fall of 1945, and the Washington Huskies and Washington State Cougars met twice to determine the bragging rights in the Evergreen State.
This was the first game, and the Huskies got the upper hand with a 6-0 win.  The teams had a re-match in Pullman on Nov. 24, and the Cougars turned the tables with a 7-0 decision for a stalemate in the Apple Bowl.
The program has photos of the players on both squads, and there are bios of all of the Huskies as well as an article on this great cross-state rivalry.
Washington State's lineup featured - Jack Perrault, Bill Lippincott, Dick Abrams, Darroll Waller, Francis Bacoka and Dick Brown.
The Huskies notables - Joe Stone, John Wingender, Leo Trask, Norm Sansregret, Bob Nelson and Gail Bruce.
