Except for a thin one half inch small tear hole at the top, this is a gorgeous program with some light writing exclusively related to the scores.  The 1948 NCAA Championship Game was played on March 23, 1948 at Madison Square Garden in New York City and ended with the Kentucky Wildcats defeating the Baylor Bears 58-42.  Kentucky, coached by Adolph Rupp, dominated the competition and this was their first National Championship.  For whatever, reason(s), this is among the rarest of all post World War II basketball programs and includes images of such legends as Ralph Beard, Adolph Rupp, Frank Boucher, and Bob Cousy.  Ralph Beard autographed the middle of the scorecard section in perfect dark pencil and his signature is guaranteed to pass authentication by PSA/DNA, JSA, KSA, Beckett, and SGC.  This is the first one of these fantastic programs we have seen and there are no examples which have been sold publicly since the advent of the Internet.
