1975 Oklahoma Sooners vs Texas Longhorns Football Program - OU National Champs.
This is the official game program from the 1975 rivalry matchup between the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns.
Texas was the home team; therefore, they published the program that year. This 78-page program contains info on both teams. The Longhorns roster included future Heisman Trophy winner Earl Campbell (a sophomore in ’75) and the Sooners had future Heisman Trophy winner Billy Sims (a freshman in ’75). The Sooners also had Sooner legends Lee Roy Selmon, Dewey Selmon, Steve Davis, Joe Washington, Elvis Peacock, Jimbo Elrod, Zac Henderson, and more.
At the time they met in this game, Oklahoma was ranked number two and Texas was ranked number five in the country. As usual between these two teams, it was a hard fought affair with Oklahoma winning by final score of 24 to 17.
The Sooners would go on to win their SECOND CONSECUTIVE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP that year under Head Coach Barry Switzer.
The program has some minor wear and creases but it is In VERY GOOD CONDITION OVERALL considering it’s age and use. This program comes from smoke free, pet free, clean and climate controlled conditions.
