The 3M™ Stikit™ Disc Pad 82189 is constructed of 3/4" medium density conformable foam for shock resistance when sanding on flat or contoured surfaces, and has a 45 degree tapered edge that helps produce professional results when feather-edging or blending. The disc pad is made with a tough, durable plastic hub. The red nylon face provides a secure hold on a 3M Stikit disc for high speed operations, and allows easy removal with no leftover residue, for convenient disc changes between applications. The disc pad has 5/8-11 internal threads compatible with a disc sander or other tool with 5/8-11 external threads. Max RPM is 12,000.
The 3M Stikit system was designed for convenient disc changes between grades or applications. Stikit discs come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so that attaching them to the disc pad is as simple as pressing on a sticker, yet they remove cleanly from a Stikit disc pad. Stikit discs tend to provide a more aggressive cut than do 3M™ Hookit™ products.
