Beautiful antique Georgian era sterling silver salt cellar hallmarked London 1795-96 by distinguished silversmiths from the Hester Bateman family.  Maker’s mark is PB over AB for Peter Bateman and Ann Batemen.  The salt cellar is boat shaped with bright cut decoration.  Measures approximately 3 3/4” across x 2 7/8” wide x 2 5/8” tall and weighs 70.5 grams.
