    Description

    Welcome to
    Antiques & Moore!
This listing is for a lovely Sterling Silver salt cellar made by Currier & Roby and retailed by Cartier.
The salt cellar has a rounded cup shape and sits on a stepped low pedestal base. Marked with the trademark stamp of Currier & Roby and "Cartier, Sterling, 190". Currier & Roby were NY silver manufacturers from 1900-1943. Cartier were world famous French jewelers and in 1904 they opened a retail location in New York. The silver retailed there was generally made by quality American silversmith firms and was marked with the Cartier name.
Measure 1 1/2" high and 3" in diameter. Weighs 35 grams.
This nice salt cellar is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. There is one tiny dark speck inside bowl otherwise the salt cellar appears to have been seldom used.
