    Description

    Elegant French antique Christofle silverplate double salt cellar with glass bowls and glass spoons. Very nice condition with some tarnish, wearing of silverplate and pitting of metal between the bowls.  On the bottom of the base there are 2 makers marks, one is unclear, the second looks like weighing scales (a typical Christofle mark), then the number 840497 and "Christofle 89".  Not sure what the 89 is about.  Based on the date of the makers mark, this was likely made in the late 1800s, possibly early 20th Century.
