    El Salvador Parachute Battalion Special Forces Patch BATALLÓN DE PARACAIDISTA
    This is a post-1993 El Salvador Parachute Battalion patch from shortly after they
    became part of Special Forces Command. According to what I could find online, this unit began as a company of paratroopers in 1963 and its first Commander was Colonel Jose Eduardo Iraheta Castellón. This first group of paratroopers were trained in the United States and went back to El Salvador to found the unit.
    This item and all the other items I am posting in this came from a collection of international wings put together by a former president of the local Air Force Association. If you have any questions, please refer to the item number when you ask.
