Fine ENGLISH IMPORT STERLING Mounted CRYSTAL SWAN SALT CELLAR w/WINGS-1983

Description

Up for bid is an English import sterling silver-mounted crystal salt cellar in the form of a swan.  The salt is 2 3/4 inches tall by 2 7/8 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide.  It is made of molded crystal with a star base, and has an applied swan neck with pivoting pierced wings that open and shut.  The salt has not been monogrammed.  It is marked with English London sterling import hallmarks at the base of the neck and on both wings.  One wing also has an “ELD” maker’s mark and a date letter for 1983.
Condition on the salt is good.  There are just very minor wing bends and normal signs of use.  The glass is undamaged. A fun piece of silver!
