  • Condition: These salts are in good to very good antique condition with a nice Gothic style B monogram, no dents (one has a tiny crease on bottom), some wear to the gold wash, and some persistent tarnish inside and out, and on the bottom. These salts are being sold unpolished.

    Description

    These salts are 1 1/4" tall with a diameter of 2 1/2".  Together, they weigh 83 grams.
    Each salt has a scrolled rim (much like hollow ware you see in Whiting's Louis 15) at top and a very delicate beaded band on the inset bottom rim.  The interiors have gold washed, which is somewhat worn.
    On the bottom, they are stamped with the mark for Gorham, sterling, the number 2640,  and with the date icon for, perhaps, 1891.
    I have taken into consideration the need these salts have for a thorough polishing in their pricing.
