    Description

    Hallmarked Edinburgh salt cellar spoon and master salt. Shipped with USPS First Class. This cut glass master salt comes with a Hallmarked sterling silver spoon. The hallmarks are "W.D" - maker's mark, the thistle (Edinburgh)- lion rampant (Victorian?), and a stylized small "b" (year- I'm guessing 1883). The marks are very small and require magnification. There were several silversmiths working in Britain with the initials W.D., so it's a bit of guesswork. Anyway, it's a rare spoon to be hallmarked.
