Pair GORHAM Victorian Sterling SALT CELLARS-Fluted Sides-#2240-No Mono

Description

Up for bid is a pair of fluted Victorian sterling open salt cellars by Gorham.  The salts are about 7/8 inch tall by 1 3/4 inches in diameter and together weigh 31 grams.  They have a fluted bellied form with an upward-flared scalloped rim.  The salts have not been monogrammed.  They are marked with the Gorham trademark, “2240”, “STERLING” and an oval date code on the foot.
Condition on the salts is fairly good.  There are some dents to the rims and a few small spots, but nothing too bad.  Some nice antique silver salts!
