There is a lovely gadroon border below the rim of each salt.
The open salts are marked with “STERLING,”
“FISHER,” Fisher’s maker’s mark and “472.”
The Fisher Silver Company of Jersey City, NJ and New York, NY, was active from 1936 until the 1970s or 1980s, so the age of the salts is unknown.
These open salts are NOT monogrammed. Â They are
in good estate condition, although
with the patina of old tarnish and fine scratches to be expected with age and use.  The pair’s price reflects their condition.
This handsome pair will make a lovely addition to any silver collection.
The pair of open salts combined weighs approximately 1.43 troy ounces. Each is approximately 1.875" in diameter and 1.625" tall.
