Description
This is a wonderful pair of Tiffany & Co. master salt dishes made by Edward C. Moore before he came over to Tiffany as their principal silver designer. These were made some time between 1860 and 1864. They are rather plain in design with a reeded edge around the base. Their total weight is 6.195 ozt. or 192.7 grams. They are approximately 3" to the top of the handles, and 2 1/8" to the lip of the bowl. The bowls are 3" across, and they are 4 3/4" and 5" across the handles. They are in excellent condition with no dents or deformation. They retain the original vermeil in the bowls. There are some light scratches due to use, and they could use a good cleaning up. They have never been monogrammed. This is a wonderful opportunity for some early Tiffany.
