PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION:Standard magazine pouch model 1974 for AК (AК-47, AКM, AК-74M) for 4 sections is absolutely new, not used, home storage. Not commercial, 100% original, contract, it was supplied to the military unit of the USSR Airborne Forces, full-time, comes complete with AК. It was used by Soviet special units during the Afghan War of 1979-1989. It was also used in all war conflicts after the collapse of the USSR in 1992-1996: Nagorno-Karabakh, Pridnestrovie, Abkhazia, Tajikistan, Chechnya, etc. Designed to accommodate, store and carry 4 regular magazines for AКs of all modifications 5.45 mm and 7.62 mm, as well as a standard oiler and a gun cleaning and lubricating device. Clasp with leather straps with 2 slots for holster buttons, this is a very convenient and easy way, and most importantly, silent. The pouch is fastened in 2 positions, depending on the number of magazines in it. Materials: main - natural tarpaulin fabric, thick and durable, auxiliary - natural saddlery 100% leather (strap and baffle), thick and soft, sewing accessories - metal 100% brass. Coloring natural light. Manufactured by USSR. Year of manufacture 1990 and 1991. The model has been removed from production.
My short correction:
The name is not entirely correct, it would be correct to call it - a pouch for 3 AK magazines and reserve ammunition. One of the 4 compartments fastens with a separate strap (photo 3), this compartment is designed for reserve ammunition, which consists of 4 charging bars, equipped with 15 rounds each (photo 9), and this separate strap securely holds the bars inside and prevents them from falling out. The bars are located in position 69 rounds inwards, there is also a place in the section for the magazine loading accelerator. As standard, the AK-74 comes with 3 magazines, and 3 compartments in the pouch are designed for them, like the pouches of the earlier model for 3 magazines. But based on the practice of warfare, this ammunition might not be enough, and so that the shooter did not carry reserve ammunition in packs separately, the designers provided for the 4th special compartment for him. Outside, it stands out with vertical seams, stitched not to the very bottom, on the front wall of the pouch (photo 8). This is because 4 vertical narrow compartments are sewn inside, into which empty, uncharged bars are inserted. Thus, the pouch should contain ammunition for 5 AK magazines - 150 pcs., this is the one and a half combat ammunition of the shooter. In some military units, equipped bars were abandoned and the 4th section is used for the 4th magazine (photo 10). In combat, an experienced shooter takes magazines out of the pouch without looking, as a rule, without returning the empty ones back. And when the shooter unfastens a separate strap on the 4th compartment, this gives an additional understanding that he still has the last loaded magazine. Also, this compartment was often used to place 3 signal rockets (red, green and white fire) in it, which are tightly placed in it and do not fall out, the top valve bends freely and does not interfere with their position (photo 1).
! But I have never seen that in a special compartment, instead of an oiler and a gun tool for cleaning weapons, the shooters wore signal smoke or flares, as in photo 1. Firstly, this is not correct, the oiler and gun tool should always be in a better place than one that is provided for them cannot be found. Secondly, the smoke or flare is placed inconveniently, not allowing the compartment to close, they hold unreliably and can fall out, in practice, most often, they are hooked with a wire holder for the arm, which bends down, for various equipment straps at shoulder level, fixing the holder with electrical tape, this is convenient and reliable.
A very strong, reliable, time-tested, silent Soviet-quality pouch for AK magazines will be of interest not only to collectors and the military, but also perfect for hunters, rangers, airsoft players, reenactors of military conflicts of the USSR and Russia, etc.
There are 4 pouches from 1990 and 2 pouches from 1991, all 6 pouches from two batches (photos 4 and 5), if you are interested in a pouches of a particular year or you need several pouches, please write to me.
