Description
Here is a very nice example of an individual open salt dip with a sterling silver holder holding the cobalt blue glass insert. This set includes a tiny spoon, although unmarked, firmly believed to also be made of .925 silver. The sterling holder has an attractive reticulated pattern exposing the blue glass. Visible in pictures of the bottom are the marks, sterling and what appears to be the logo for the the Webster silver company of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. A pair of these open salts was recently purchased, each will be listed individually in the shop. The piece measures 3/4” tall and just under 2” diameter. The tiny spoon measures about 2” long. Thorough examination reveals no damage or repairs to either the glass or silver holder/spoon. I did not polish the silver, I tend to leave these items with their original patina. Should a buyer wish to purchase both salts, I will provide a combined shipping when invoiced. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description. Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.
Thank you.
