THE CO2 SCRUBBER FOR A DIVER'S REBREATHER. MADE IN RUSSIA FOR IDA AFALINA
The external dimensions of the scrubber (поглотительный патрон 678.100.000) are roughly the same as the AP Diving Inspiration Classic and therefore can be installed in frames designed for Inspiration Classic.
The scrubber (absorption cartridge) is the main unit of the Russian IDA Afalin. This rebreather was intended for use in the neutral buoyancy pool of the Cosmonaut Training Center to provide cosmonaut training. This rebreather was also sold to recreational and technical divers.
The scrubber can be used to assemble rebreathers for:
• simple dives with pure oxygen
• recreational diving,
• entry-level technical diving.
The scrubber design allows it to be used in different versions according to the gas supply principle (the immersion depth is determined by the selected option):
• Oxy (oxygen rebreather) - 6 m,
• aSCR (semi-closed rebreather) - 30 m,
• mCCR and eCCR (closed rebreather with manual or electronic control partial pressure of oxygen) - 75+ m.
In the basic delivery, the scrubber has a pre-installed 40% Nitox nozzle for a semi-closed rebreather.
The scrubber cover has three sockets for installing oxygen sensors and two ports for connecting controller cables, making it easy to assemble the mCCR and eCCR.
In addition, the cover itself is seat-compatible with Inspiration Classic, which makes it easy to replace it with third-party electronic heads designed for Inspiration Classic, including the Russian AV1CCR.
The IDA Afalina fittings are compatible with the Poseidon Discovery Mk6 and Se7en fittings, allowing the hoses of this apparatus to be used to assemble a breathing circuit. We can also offer hoses, backrests, valve boxes and other units of Russian-made rebreathers. Of particular note is the availability of titanium frames for sidemount and backmount rebreathers compatible with the IDA Afalina scrubber.
Attention - sensors and cables are not included in the basic delivery set of the scrubber!
