    Description

    This sale is for a clutch-back enamel Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI/DI) for the 376th Engineer Battalion of the US Army. The pin is marked on the back-"G23" and "Made In U.S.A.," the hallmark is for the IRA Green company.  This is a modern clutch-back version as used today. The item is in excellent condition and measures regulation size at about 1 X 1 1/8 inches. The unit's motto is "Citizen, Soldier, United," which appears on the crest. The unit served in WWII in the Rhineland and Central Europe.
    The design for this crest was approved January 30, 1961.
