USGI Sealed General Purpose Survival Food Packet 1990s for Aircrew Vest or Kits

Description

Original, sealed US military issue General Purpose Survival Food Packet. These were supplied to aircrews and special operations personnel, and often carried in the aircrew survival vest to provide emergency nourishment in the event of tactical landing or other situation. Each packet contains a number of sealed, high calorie foods. These were originally packed in the late 1980s, re-inspected in the early 2000s. Most food items have been tested and are quite palatable. Each packet should contain two (2) sealed shortbread bars, one (1) sealed chocolate chip dessert bar, one (1) sealed granola bar, and one (1) sealed corn flakes cereal bar, along with one tube of mint candies, one powdered chicken broth packet, and one powdered ice tea drink mix. Contents MAY vary, but in my experience they are essentially identical.
