Product Description
An exceptional, fine and impressive, pair of vintage English cast sterling silver salt & pepper shakers - boxed; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection.
These exceptional vintage Elizabeth II cast sterling silver salt and pepper shakers have been realistically modelled in the form of a King and Queen in an upright stance.
Each character is wearing a fabric cloak with cast details replication the trim and fastenings, in addition to the garments beneath; the male character’s clothing is further ornamented with multiple jewels.
Both the King and Queen are further embellished with cast decoration reflecting the facial features, hair and individual coronet/crown.
Each novelty shaker is fitted with the original screw fit detachable base.
These vintage salt and pepper shakers are fitted to the original hinged crimson leatherette presentation box, with a velvet and satin lined interior and secures with a hinged catch.
Condition
These silver salts are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.
The cast decoration is all very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece are all very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of vintage silverware.
